A LINEAR CLOCK

A new year a new time Machine

Linear this time.
Time is linear.
Why do we measure it in circles?
I found a couple of "bar graph" nixies.

In Russia.

And I had an old door.
Mix these two together and you end up with a clock.

The Nixies need a power supply.

+150V DC, we can do that...
Some serious transistors to pilot the high voltage

And of course the famous PIC with the universal time counting program can be used (Thanks Wim!).

A slight modification only.
Wait for more!.........

Lot's of wires.
Again...

Put some O-rings around the tubes to have a vague idea about what time it is..

It looks like this, seconds ticking silently away.

Ready!

What's next?

A planetarium?
And why not!
